Projects proposed

1. AT&T-GWU Research Building 1, 20085 Academic Way. Special exception to allow telecommunications antennas on a building rooftop on 41 acres zoned PD-RDP (planned development-research and development park).

2. Marrwood II at Stone Ridge, south of Route 50 and Goshen Road. Subdivide 8.26 acres zoned TR1 (transitional residential) for nine single-family residential lots and two open parcels.

3. Discovery -- commercial office, 45580 Terminal Dr. Special exception to allow commercial office use of property on 7.86 acres zoned PD-IP (planned development-industrial park).

4. Discovery -- Communications and Transmission, 45580 Terminal Dr. Special exception to allow communication and transmission facilities on 7.86 acres zoned PD-IP (planned development-industrial park).

5. Goose Creek Preserve Community Center, west of Belmont Ridge Road and Broadlands Boulevard. Recreational facilities, including a community center, swimming pool and tot lot, on 2.53 aces zoned PDH-4 (planned development housing-four units per acre).

6. Potomac interceptor odor abatement site, east of Cascades Parkway, north of Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Lakes and River Crest. Special exception to allow a sanitary sewer odor abatement facility on 100.63 acres zoned PDH-4 (planned development housing-four units per acre).

7. Potomac interceptor odor abatement site, east of Cascades Parkway, north of Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Lakes and River Crest. Special exception to allow a structure required for operation of a public utility within the Floodplain Overlay District (FOD) on 100.63 acres zoned PDH-4 (planned development housing-four units per acre).

Projects approved

8. Washington Immanuel Presbyterian Church, west side of Evergreen Mills Road, about half a mile south of Ryan and Red Hill roads. Special exception to allow a church within a 10,646-square-foot building on about 10 acres zoned A-3 (agricultural rural).

9. Loudoun County Animal Care and Control, north side of Charles Town Pike, west side of Hamilton Station Road. Special exception to allow an additional freestanding, 1,500-square-foot building for office and training spaces at shelter on 13.26 acres zoned AR-1 (agricultural rural) and to allow the shelter to be open Sundays.

10. Arris Montessori School, 44675 Cape Ct., Suite 189. Special exception to allow a child-care center and private school in a 17,400-square-foot condominium on 6.85 acres zoned PD-IP (planned development-industrial park).

11. Brambleton Land Bay 3, Phase 1, Sections 18, 21, 22. southeast of Evergreen Mills and Belmont Ridge roads. Subdivide 112.07 acres zoned PDH-4 (planned development housing-four units per acre) for 502 residential lots.

12. Woodland Road Industrial Park, Lot 8, northeast of Woodland Road and Blackwood Court. Approval for a warehouse and parking spaces with associated utilities and entrances off Blackwood Court on 1.06 acres zoned PD-GI (planned development-general industrial).
