The details: Damalas-Giannopoulos wedding

Kyriaki Damalas and Vasilios Giannopoulos invited 300 people to what she called their "big, fat Greek wedding." After a formal ceremony at Baltimore's Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, their guests drove through the snow to Martin's Catering Valley Mansion in Hunt Valley.

The ambiance: Sparkling. There were 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen, plus three flower girls and a ring bearer. The Valley Mansion ballroom was decorated with lavender and blue hydrangeas. A five-person Greek party band, Apollonia, kept guests on the dance floor.

The food: During cocktail hour, guests munched on cheese, spanakopita, vegetables and beef skewers. Dinner was steak, crab cakes, lobster bisque and asparagus. Traditional Greek desserts were served in addition to wedding cake by Ms. Desserts.

The dress: Damalas wore a full, strapless gown with crystal beading by Kenneth Pool. She found that dress at Betsy Robinson's Bridal, a boutique in Pikesville, Md.

The photographer: Jill Gately

First Dance: "By Your Side," by Sade.
