AMERICAN ATHLETE TO WATCH
Bode Miller

Bode Miller hasn't been among the top men's downhillers in the 2009-10 standings, but no one is counting him out. One of the world's most entertaining, talented and occasionally maddening skiers, Miller finished a disappointing fifth in this event at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, kicking off a medal-less Olympics a year after he had won his first overall World Cup title. This past summer, Miller rejoined the U.S. ski team after a long hiatus and won gold in a Jan. 15 downill in Wengen, Switzerland, to signal that he is, indeed, back.
