Lindsey Jacobellis is the most dominant woman in snowboard cross, but she hasn't won an Olympic gold medal -- and it's her own fault. With a huge lead approaching the finish line at the event's Olympic debut in 2006, Jacobellis tried to make a midair board grab -- and fell. She was passed by Tanja Frieden of Switzerland and settled for silver.

Jacobellis won the world championship in 2005 and 2007. She has also claimed 20 World Cup victories and five gold medals at the Winter X Games.
