Ballou's home gymnasium is likely out of commission for the rest of the season. Knights boys' basketball Coach Jenkins Dormu said snow seeped through the roof and leaked on the center of the court, rendering it unplayable.

Making this particularly frustrating, Dormu said, was that last month, a major renovation was completed on Ballou's gymnasium, as a new floor and bleachers were installed.

Instead of hosting tonight's game against Anacostia, Ballou will go to the Indians' court.

Dormu said his team only had two more home games left, and would likely host a D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association quarterfinal playoff game. Those games, he said, will now be at their opponents or on neutral sites.

This, however, will not impact the sixth-ranked Knights' boys' team's biggest game thus far -- Friday against No. 3 Montrose Christian, which will be played in the auxiliary gym of the Comcast Center at the University of Maryland.
