The U.S. Postal Service has seen delivery points increase, employees decrease

A significant part of the U.S. Postal Service's financial problems stems from a sharp decline in the number of pieces of mail it has delivered annually since 2007. The number of delivery points has steadily increased since 2000, but the number of USPS employees has steadily decreased during that period.
