$5 or less: Chispa at the Fridge

Looking for inspiration? Find some this week when 10 creative types discuss what they're working on and how their ideas emerged. The event ("chispa" in the title translates as "spark" in Spanish) offers a forum for artists and change agents in various media. The six-minute talks include a musical presentation from local rockers Tiik With G.U.T.S. and a look at the anti-sexual-harassment crusade of Holla Back D.C. in collaboration with local arts activist Josef Palermo and muralist Regina Holliday. You'll also see Binahkaye Joy send a message through dance with her presentation "Booty Alert" and Loryn C. Wilson give a lesson in technology with "Black Girls Rule the (Twitter) World." Presentations start at 8 p.m., but doors open at 7:30 so you can grab a drink at the cash bar and chat with the local changemakers ahead of time.

7:30 p.m. Thursday. The Fridge, 516 Eighth St. SE. Entrance through rear alley. 202-664-4151. http://www.thefridgedc.com. $5.
