What: Annual matchups of the champions of the D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association and the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

When: 3 p.m. (girls) and 5 p.m. (boys).

Where: Verizon Center.

Admission: $15.

Matchups: Boys: No. 1 DeMatha (29-3) vs. No. 2 Ballou (30-4); Girls: No. 5 Elizabeth Seton (23-8) vs. No. 10 H.D. Woodson (21-5).

Guarded approach: Player-of-the-year candidates highlight the back courts in both games. In the girls' game, H.D. Woodson is led by Georgia recruit Ronika Ransford, averaging 24.2 points. Her Seton counterpart is Tyaunna Marshall, averaging 19.2 with a season-high of 32. The senior sprained her ankle in Seton's game Saturday, but is expected to play. In the boys' games, G Donte Thomas (23.7 ppg) is the engine that makes Ballou go. (The Knights put up 103 points in the DCIAA title game.) DeMatha is led by smooth-shooting guard Quinn Cook (19.8 ppg).
