Woman found fatally shot; man wounded

A 32-year-old woman was fatally shot Saturday in a parking lot in the Suitland area, Prince George's County police said.

Officers said Cynthia D. Aaron of Judicial Drive in Glenn Dale was shot about 2 a.m. in the 6400 block of Suitland Road.

A 33-year-old man was shot and wounded, police said.

Officers said that a preliminary investigation indicated that the shooting stemmed from a personal dispute between the man and one or more other people.

Woman killed in apparent stabbing

A woman died after she was found unconscious Sunday in a Southeast Washington parking lot. Police said the death was an apparent homicide. The woman, who had been stabbed, was identified as Barbara L. Smith, 25, police said. Officers said she had no fixed address.

She was found about 2 a.m. in the 3000 block of 30th Street. Emergency medical workers responded, but the woman was dead.

Motorcyclists die in separate crashes

A 22-year-old Maryland man died about 6:30 a.m. Saturday after his motorcycle hit a pick-up truck at Eastern Avenue and Newton Street in Northeast Washington.

D.C. police identified the motorcyclist as Davis E. Gross of Mount Rainier. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead. The truck driver, who was not identified, was treated at the hospital and released.

Police were investigating the crash.

In a separate incident, a 22-year-old Germantown man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle ran off Clarksburg Road in Clarksburg, Montgomery County police said. He was identified as Matthew B. Buc of Lake Park Court.
