Her family will go on

Celine Dion is pregnant with twins, reports People. The singer, 42, became pregnant after undergoing her sixth in vitro fertilization attempt and turning to acupuncture to improve her chances of pregnancy. Dion, who has one son -- 9-year-old René-Charles -- is 14 weeks along. "We're ecstatic," says 68-year-old husband-manager René Angélil. "Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby, and the news that we are having two is a double blessing."

Germany wins song contest

Germany has scored its first victory in nearly three decades in the Eurovision Song Contest. A teenager named Lena Meyer-Landrut ended the nation's long losing streak in the popular Europe-wide song competition Saturday night, beating 24 other finalists in a live broadcast from Oslo watched by more than 100 million TV viewers across Europe, Reuters reports. "This definitely was not to be expected," the 19-year-old Meyer-Landrut said, referring to Germany's underdog status in the competition. Germany's last win came in 1982 with an antiwar ballad, "Ein bisschen Frieden" ("A Little Peace"). Meyer-Landrut has recently become a national celebrity with the love song "Satellite," which won the Eurovision contest.

A lost union

Veteran film actress Barbara Hershey and Naveen Andrews, who appeared in "Lost," called it quits six months ago, according to People, but we're just finding out now! The couple met in 1998, long before Andrews, 41, got his big break playing Sayid on the recently concluded ABC drama series. Hershey, 62, starred in such films as "Beaches" and "Hannah and Her Sisters." The couple met on the set of the 1999 indie film "Drowning on Dry Land."
