This part of USA Cycling's national racing calendar brings competitive cycling to the streets of Arlington's Clarendon neighborhood. It's known as one of the more difficult criterium races in the country, in part because it's a 1K course in an urban setting. The professional men's team hits the pavement at about 12:15 p.m., racing through Wilson, Clarendon and Washington boulevards. Before this race are women's, children's and amateur races. The two-day cycling event continues on Sunday with the Crystal Cup, where men's and women's teams bike through Crystal City (Sunday at 11:30 a.m., 1 Air Force Memorial Dr.).
