FLOODING

Ark. death toll now 19; one still missing

State police say that the death toll from a flash flood that tore through an Arkansas campground has reached 19 and that searchers are looking for one missing person.

State Police Capt. Mike Fletcher said that another body was recovered at midday Sunday.

He said searchers are looking for one more person who went missing after the flood swept through the Albert Pike Recreation Area before dawn on Friday.

Fletcher did not disclose the latest victim's identity.

Sixteen of the 19 people confirmed dead have been publicly identified.

Authorities were unable to contact some of the nearly two dozen people who had not been accounted for Saturday, but they do not think those people were in the section of the Ouachita National Forest that was hit hardest, State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said.

He said those people probably are camping elsewhere.
