George W. Jones Virginia Politician

George W. Jones, 83, a Virginia Republican who represented Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights in the House of Delegates for 16 years, died July 3, it was reported from Richmond. The cause of death was not given.

Mr. Jones, a Pennsylvania native, was first elected to the General Assembly in 1969 and represented a district between Richmond and Petersburg.

In the Virginia House of Delegates, he became the senior Republican on the Finance Committee.

He also headed Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign in Virginia.

After Mr. Jones was defeated for reelection, he served several terms as president of the Dale Ruritan Club. He spent decades working as a manufacturers' representative.

Ed Limato Hollywood Agent

Ed Limato, 73, a Hollywood agent known for overseeing the careers of actors such as Marlon Brando, Denzel Washington and Richard Gere, died July 3 of lung disease at his home in Beverly Hills.

Mr. Limato spent most of his 44-year career at William Morris and International Creative Management, boasting a client roster that also included Kevin Costner, Billy Crystal, Mel Gibson and Sharon Stone.
