24-year-old D.C. man fatally shot in NW

D.C. homicide detectives were investigating a shooting Saturday night that left a 24-year-old District man dead.

The victim, identified Sunday as Jonathan Sanchez Estep of Taussig Place, was shot about 8:30 p.m. near Columbia Road and 11th Street NW. Another man was wounded. He was treated at a hospital and released.

Police ask that anyone with information that could lead to an arrest and conviction call 888-919-CRIME. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $25,000.

The D.C. Crime Solvers unit is offering anonymous tipsters up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this and other unsolved homicides in the city.
