The National League's 3-1 win over the American League on News Corp.'s Fox last night had a 7.5 household rating and an average of 12.1 million viewers, Nielsen Co. said.
The rating was down 15.7 percent from the 8.9 overnight for the 2009 All-Star Game. The lowest previous rating was an 8.1 in 2005, according to Nielsen, which lists data back to 1967, when the All-Star Game drew a 25.6 rating.
The NL last night snapped a 13-year losing streak in as Brian McCann of the Atlanta Braves hit a three-run double in the seventh inning at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.
