Capital Buzz: Smartphone war is the talk of Terk Tech

Former AOL bigwig Randall Boe will report to Leonsis as executive vice president for corporate operations, with responsibility for human resources and the legal departments. Boe will head corporate development, investor relations and government relations.

The newly consolidated ticket sales organizations for the Caps, Mystics and Wizards will be led by Jim Van Stone, who will report to Patrick.

Rick Moreland will lead the luxury suite and sales group, Gary Handleman continues to lead facilities management and Mike Bowie will continue to head up the engineering department. Greg Bibb will serve as executive vice president for basketball business operations for the combined Wizards/Mystics organization.

Sponsorship sales will be led by John Greeley.

One surprise is that longtime Pollin lieutenant Peter Biche is staying on as chief financial officer and will report directly to Leonsis.

Leonsis said Monumental's Mike Kelly will assess the Ticketmaster business and begin planning for the future.

On the media side, Capitals spokesman Kurt Kehl will become Monumental's vice president of corporate communications.

The Buzz has a soft spot for talented mixologists.

"The Stained GLASS."

The Buzz got the recipe:
