These food establishments were closed because of health code violations. The list, compiled from health department reports, reflects actions taken by the departments.

Maryland

Family Restaurant

3407 Dallas Dr., Temple Hills

Closed Aug. 10 for failure to comply with health department requirements. Reopened Aug. 11.

Metro City Wings House

4404 St. Barnabas Rd., Temple Hills

Closed Aug. 11 for operating without a license. Reopened Aug. 12.

Virginia

New York Steaks

6500 Springfield Mall, Springfield

Closed Aug. 18 for no refrigeration. Reopened that day.

Noodles and Co.
