Regal Entertainment buys Columbia movie complex

Regal Entertainment Group, which operates the largest theater circuit in the United States, acquired a United Artists movie complex in Columbia, one of three it bought from Westcore Properties for $29.14 million, or $225.33 per square foot. The Snowden Square Stadium 14 complex is a 14-stadium, 58,250-square-foot movie theater at 9161 Commerce Centre Dr. As part of the deal, Regal also bought United Artists theaters in Berkeley, Calif., and Walled Lake, Mich.
