HIGHLIGHTS
Disney Channel original movies (or DCOMs, to those in the know) are unstoppable forces of nature, particularly when they star the Jonas Brothers, and Friday night's film, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" (at 8) is no exception. In the sequel to 2008's "Camp Rock" (starring Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato), all the regulars are back for another fabulous summer of singing and dancing for future rock stars . . . but the joy is short-lived when a competitor opens a pricey, high-tech rival camp across the lake. Cue end-of-summer performance duel!
Right before Monday's Maryland-Navy game, "Tim Brant's College Football Preview" (WJLA at 8) breaks down the upcoming seasons for both schools and interviews former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden and new University of Virginia coach Mike London.
One bride's wavering back and forth about a gown reaches epic levels on "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta" (TLC at 9), until the mother of the bride can't take it anymore and makes the choice for her indecisive daughter.
On "Dangerous Encounters" (National Geographic at 9), the encounters get pretty scary when the host runs into a group of brown bears while traveling in Alaska.
Les heads to Malaysia on "Beyond Survival With Les Stroud" (Discovery at 10) and tries to ignore the potential storms and sharks when he decides to go spearfishing.
The team heads to an upscale neighborhood to investigate a crime on "Flashpoint" (CBS at 10), and everyone's shocked to discovery that one of the criminals is Ed's brother.
Even news programs try to hop on the vampire bandwagon -- "Need to Know" (WETA and MPT at 10:30) interviews Charlaine Harris, author of "The Southern Vampire Mysteries," also known as the books that inspired HBO's "True Blood." In non-vampire news, other show guests include finance expert Monica Youn and Bloomberg News's Bob Ivry.
"20/20" (ABC at 10) looks at what happened during a complex case involving a murdered couple in Nebraska, as police had two videotaped confessions, by two different people, forcing the cops to determine who was innocent.
Comedian Louis C.K. is a guest on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (NBC at 11:35), along with singer Sara Bareilles.
"Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" (CBS at 11:35) hosts actor D.J. Qualls and actress Brooke Shields.
