Paul Anastas, the Environmental Protection Agency's assistant administrator for the office of research and development, helped kick off the USA Science and Engineering Festival at Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences on Wednesday. Anastas conducted a chemistry experiment with some students at the festival, which also included demonstrations of how iPhones work and how algae may one day serve as a fuel source. (Photo by….)
