Wins this season by Big East teams over squads from Bowl Championship Series conferences. Connecticut doubled the win total Saturday with a 40-21 victory over Vanderbilt of the SEC.

Players on the field for Tennessee on what was initially the final play of its game against LSU. After the penalty, the Tigers' Stevan Ridley scored on a one-yard touchdown run to give LSU a 16-14 victory.

Robert Griffin, QB, Baylor

Griffin, a sophomore quarterback, completed 26 of 36 passes for a career-high 380 yards and three touchdowns as the Bears earned their most lopsided conference victory ever, 55-7 over reeling Kansas. Griffin also ran the ball eight times for 64 yards and a touchdown, and his 444 total yards were a single-game program record. The Bears hadn't scored such a lopsided victory in conference play since a 47-point win over Arkansas in a Southwest Conference game in 1922. Their largest margin of victory in Big 12 play had been 28 points.

Robinson rushed for 217 yards, and Pryor had 106 rushing yards.
