Recent D.C. area pedestrian accidents

Since Friday, three pedestrians have been killed and four injured by vehicles in the Washington area.
Friday, 10:22 a.m.
A 16-month-old girl in a stroller was struck by a sport-utility vehicle in a crosswalk at Georgia Avenue and Aspen Hill Road in Montgomery County. Police said the SUV had a green light. Officials said they expected the child to survive.
Sunday, 3:20 a.m.
After leaving the White Flint Metro station, two men were fatally struck by a car as they crossed northbound Rockville Pike. Police said that after hitting the men, the driver stopped, got out and appeared to check on the victims, then drove to the next intersection and turned onto Old Georgetown Road. The driver parked and walked back to the scene. Officers initially said they suspected the driver was under the influence. No charges had been filed.
Monday
l 3:16 p.m.
A 14-year-old boy was struck by a marked Gaithersburg police cruiser traveling west on Darnestown Road at Quince Orchard Road. Police said the boy was in the median crossing the street, outside the crosswalk, when he was hit. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
l 3:30 p.m.
A 3-year-old boy in a stroller was struck by a vehicle in Montgomery County near Sligo Creek Parkway and University Boulevard West. The child was not ejected from the stroller and was expected to survive.
l 11:52 p.m.
A woman walking in a southbound lane of Interstate 270 near Gaithersburg late Monday was struck by a car and an out-of-service RideOn bus. She was killed.
Tuesday
A vehicle struck a pedestrian in Arlington County. The person was taken to a trauma center.
