LAND

Waterville Valley, a ski resort in New Hampshire's White Mountains, has several discounted packages this season. For example, with Wicked Long Ski Weekends, get an early check-in on Fridays (12:30 p.m.), free skiing on Friday afternoon and a late Sunday checkout (3 p.m.). Add a Sunday-night stay and receive 50 percent off that night's lodging. Rooms start at $96 per person double per night in December, and $171 from January through March, including taxes. The Gansevoort Turks & Caicos, a new Caribbean boutique hotel, has a fourth-night-free deal for stays Nov. 1-Dec. 19. Rooms at the luxury beachfront property, on Grace Bay on the island of Providenciales, start at $460 per night, including breakfast; with the deal, the rate drops to $345. Voyages to Antiquity, which operates cruises focusing on history and ancient civilizations, is offering free airfare from more than 70 North American gateways (including BWI Marshall and Washington Dulles) on all 2011 sailings of the Aegean Odyssey. One-category upgrades (typically $145 per person double) also are available in certain categories for departures March 25-Aug. 25. For example, the 16-day cruise to Roman North Africa departs Athens March 25 and visits Malta, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. Rates start at $3,750 per person double and include air from Washington to Athens and return from Cairo, and one night post-cruise stay in Cairo. Air taxes of $518 are extra. British Airways has relaunched its air/hotel deal, which includes round-trip sale fares from Washington to London, plus two nights' hotel in central London for two people traveling together. (Solo travelers get one free night.) Nonstop fares from Washington Dulles or BWI Marshall start at $692 per person round trip, including taxes. Book by Nov. 3 for travel through April 3.
