Fair Oaks District
THEFTS/BREAK-INS
CENTREVILLE RD., 3000 block. Cash was stolen from a business.
CHAIN BRIDGE RD., 2900 block. Beer was stolen from a business.
FAIR LAKES PROMENADE DR., 12100 block, Oct. 16 and Oct. 9. Two women attempted to pass fraudulent checks at a business. A 35-year-old Maryland woman was charged with possession of forged coin or bank notes. A 49-year-old District woman was charged with possession of a fictitious identification or driver's license, possession of a forged coin or bank note, obtaining money by false pretenses, providing false information to law enforcement and forging or uttering a fraudulent check.
FAIRFAX TOWNE CENTER, 12100 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.
FOREST DR., 4500 block, 1 to 7 a.m. Sept. 30. An unsuccessful attempt was made to break into a residence.
LEE HWY., 11900 block. A metal computer frame was stolen from a business.
LEGACY CIR., 13600 block. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.
SALK ST. AND RIVER BIRCH RD. A cellphone and two Global Positioning System devices were stolen from a vehicle.

METROTECH DR., 13900 block. A Cadillac was stolen.
