What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The effects of the economic downturn are being felt everywhere. More people are suffering home foreclosures, loss of jobs or having difficulty paying college tuition. The recession has taken its toll emotionally, as well. Many people feel dispirited and helpless. While the high degree of government employment in the region has 'softened the blow' and unemployment is below the national average, the ravage is still seen in our county. Houses standing empty encourage crime and strain communities, and young people considering college now find finances more of an obstacle."
Why should voters elect you?
"I have offered a progressive vision for improving our county and state as well as solving the day-to-day problems facing constituents."
