What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Our state budget is out of whack, resulting in severe cuts to vital services. It is going to take a new way of looking at this challenge to get Maryland's finances back on track. This means making tough choices so that we can protect funding for our schools, services for seniors and other top priorities. Instead of subsidizing the mining of dirty coal, we should be pioneering renewable energy sources that create 'green' jobs here."

Why should voters elect you?

"I will continue to put my years of policymaking and economic growth experience to work for the community where I grew up and still live."
