Outlook: In a rematch of the 2009 NCAA tournament quarterfinal won by the Cavaliers, Maryland seeks to extend its winning streak to eight and claim a share of first place in the ACC with North Carolina. Since a 2-1 loss to the Tar Heels, the Terrapins have conceded just three goals during their unbeaten run. Virginia, the reigning national champion, is 3-0-2 in the past five matches but scored only three goals in the past three outings. Both teams feature quality forward partnerships: Maryland's Jason Herrick and Casey Townsend have six goals apiece while Virginia's Brian Ownby (seven) and Will Bates have combined for 13. Terrapins MF Matt Kassel leads the ACC in assists with eight and Maryland is second in the nation behind top-ranked Akron in goals per game (2.79). Cavaliers GK Diego Restrepo is the conference leader in goals against average at 0.54 while Maryland's Zac MacMath has an ACC-best eight shutouts.
