HIGHLIGHTS

Though Egyptian pharaoh Psusennes I didn't receive much attention when his tomb was discovered in 1939, the Season 10 premiere of "Secrets of the Dead" (WETA and MPT at 8 p.m.) features "The Silver Pharaoh," investigating the treasures found inside the tomb.

Samantha can't leave her emotions out of a case on "Undercovers" (NBC at 8), as she's tasked with helping to find the source of an assassination plot that involves Peru's president-elect.

"Circus" (WETA and MPT at 9), a three-part miniseries that goes behind the scenes of the Big Apple Circus, is previewed by Hank Stuever.

Cameron dreams big for Lily on "Modern Family" (ABC at 9) when he secretly takes his adorable daughter for a commercial audition; meanwhile, Claire and Haley have some quality mother-daughter bonding time when they're home sick, and Phil is busy finding a smoke detector that won't stop beeping.

"Hellcats" (CW at 9) goes back in time with an elaborate 1980s-theme bash to celebrate the team's anniversary, though there's lots of drama when Alice pretends a great story about the football team is actually one about the cheerleading squad.

New series "The Will: Family Secrets Revealed" (Investigation Discovery at 9) looks at final wills and the drama they cause families, starting with Joan Crawford, who disinherited two of her children.

Jules turns 42 on "Cougar Town" (ABC at 9:30), and never one to go a day without being the center of attention, she throws her annual contest to see which of her friends can give her the best present.

On "Terriers" (FX at 10), Hank learns disturbing news about Gretchen's fiance and must decide whether to tell her, given that the wedding is getting closer.

Gearing up for the CMA Awards next week, Robin Roberts heads to Tennessee for "In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville" (ABC at 10), in which she chats with country singers including Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and LeAnn Rimes.

A famous Vegas entertainer is found murdered on "The Defenders" (CBS at 10), and Nick is forced by Pete to take on the accused (the entertainer's girlfriend) as a client.

Actress Tina Fey stops by "Late Show With David Letterman" (CBS at 11:35), along with musical guest Brad Paisley.

"The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" (NBC at 11:35) hosts actor James Franco, blogger/John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain and a performance from Far East Movement.
