Lake Braddock wide receiver Matt Zanellato received a scholarship offer on Friday morning from Penn State - a school that the senior has listed among his favorites throughout the recruiting process.

Zanellato also has offers from Delaware and Miami (Ohio).

Zanellato transferred from No. 18 Robinson to rival Lake Braddock earlier this year in hopes of increasing his profile in an offense that better suited his needs. The sixth-ranked Bruins run a spread offense under the direction of Connecticut-bound quarterback Michael Nebrich.

The move has paid off statistically. Zanellato has racked up 76 catches for 1,444 yards and 17 touchdowns and last week helped Lake Braddock (11-1) knock off Robinson to advance to the Virginia AAA Northern Region Division 6 championship. The Bruins face No. 11 Chantilly (10-2) on Saturday at 1:30 in the final.
