'Snippy' German shepherd is sprayed with pepper at Metro

HYATTSVILLE, 3500 block, East West Hwy., Nov. 16. A Metro station employee reported holding a stray German shepherd in a back room for pickup by animal control. The female dog reportedly had been "snippy" with a Metro officer and been pepper-sprayed. The employee washed the dog's eyes with water. An animal control officer picked up the 2-year-old shepherd, and the dog was claimed by its owner the next day.
Among cases received by the Prince George's County Department of Environmental Resources Animal Management Group.
