Hospitals represent some of the region's biggest economic engines. Those who made The Post 200 are among the largest employers in the region. They are listed here in alphabetical order.

The nonprofit Adventist HealthCare includes hospitals, home health agencies, nursing centers and other health-care services, caring for more than 450,000 patients in the Washington area and northwestern New Jersey. In 2009 the network sought support for a proposed 86-bed, $177 million hospital and medical campus in Clarksburg. Adventist currently has acute care facilities in Takoma Park.
