Lohan's rehab stint done?

Lindsay Lohan is set to be released from rehab Monday, ABC News reports. The troubled actress, 24, voluntarily entered the Betty Ford Center for alcohol and drug addiction in October.

Lohan seems to be in the right frame of mind to begin the new year and recover her career. On New Year's Day she tweeted: "Today is the first day of the rest of my life. 'The future depends on what we do in the present.' - Mahatma Gandhi . . . One step at a time . . . "

Having gone from Disney child star to promising actress to tabloid fodder, Lohan still has to contend with problems with the law - she's still on probation stemming from a drunk-driving conviction in 2007 - and the industry's skepticism in order to jump-start her career.

She had a role in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" last year, but rehab upended her plans to play the role of "Deep Throat" star Linda Lovelace in the biopic "Inferno."

There is speculation that Lohan's wild ride inspired the movie "Dogs in Pocketbooks," now in production, which has the Lohan family contemplating a lawsuit.

Arquette checks in

David Arquette checked into rehab over New Year's weekend, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton reports. He is reportedly seeking treatment for alcohol abuse.

Arquette, 39, recently separated from wife Courtney Cox, 46. The actor apparently did not manage the split well and had been seen out partying excessively these past months.

Tropical wedding for Twain

Country singer Shania Twain wed Swiss executive Frederic Thiebaud Saturday in Puerto Rico, People reports.

"I am excited to share some personal news with you; I'm in love! Frederic Nicolas Thiebaud has been a true gift to me as a compassionate, understanding friend and over time, an amazing love has blossomed from this precious friendship," the 45-year-old Canadian singer wrote on her Web site in December.

Twain and Thiebaud began dating after music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, then Twain's husband of 14 years, left her for Thiebaud's former wife, Marie-Ann, in 2008. Marie-Ann had also been Twain's best friend.

Twain and Thiebaud wed in front of 40 friends and family at a private mansion in Rincon, famous for its beautiful beaches and gnarly surf waves. After the beachside ceremony, guests enjoyed a fireworks show and a performance from the bride, who sang at the reception.

Berry battling exhaustion

The agent for rock-and-roll legend Chuck Berry confirmed that exhaustion was to blame for an odd and erratic performance at a show in Chicago on Saturday after which the 84-year-old had to be helped off the stage.
