The week's best travel bargains from around the globe

LAND

Book a ski vacation at Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah, and receive two free lift tickets per room. Rates for a standard room with a queen-size bed start at $312 a night double, including $43 in taxes and fees. Lift tickets are worth $47 per person and cover day and night skiing. (Visitors can ski until 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays). The resort offers 41 downhill ski runs over 500 acres. Valid through April 2, except Jan. 20-30. Two Jamaica adults-only resorts - Hedonism II and SuperFun Beach Resort & Spa - are offering discounts of 121/2 percent on all bookings made by Feb. 28 for travel Jan. 29 through Aug. 31. Savings vary by date and accommodation type. For example, at Hedonism II, an oceanview room with Jacuzzi and terrace during high season (Jan. 29-April 29) now starts at $254 per person double a night, a savings of $36. At SuperFun, a deluxe room during low season (April 30-July 1) now starts at $105 per person double, a savings of $15. SEA

General Tours Small Group Traveler has discounted its Seven Nights Along the Nile cruise by $500. The trip aboard the 30-cabin Alexander the Great ship now starts at $2,499 per person double for departures May 23 through Sept. 27. Also, AARP members receive an additional $150 savings. The cruise, which travels round trip from Luxor, Egypt, stops in Edfu and Kom Ombo, and includes daily shore excursions to such sites as Karnak and Luxor temples, the valleys of the Kings and Queens, and Aswan High Dam. Get a $1,000 discount on the March 4 departure of International Expeditions' Galapagos Islands cruise. Prices now start at $3,798 per person double for the nine-night itinerary, which includes two nights at the Oro Verde hotel in Guayaquil, Ecuador, seven-night cruise aboard the 32-passenger Evolution, daily shore excursions, naturalist-led tours, snorkeling and wetsuit equipment, transfers, Galapagos National Park fee and taxes. AIR

Aer Lingus is offering sale fares to Dublin and to cities throughout Europe. For example, round-trip fare from Washington Dulles to Dublin, connecting in New York, starts at $517 (including $117 taxes) for flights Feb. 2-28. By comparison, fares on other airlines start at $569. For March travel, sale fare is $546, including taxes; fares on other airlines start at $618. (Codeshare flights to/from New York are operated by JetBlue.) Travel Feb. 2-28 for sale fares to other cities in Europe, such as Munich, Amsterdam and Paris. American Airlines has sale fares to cities throughout Central America and South America. For example, fly from Reagan National to Guayaquil, Ecuador, connecting in Miami, for $660 round trip, including $106 taxes. Fares on other airlines start at $735. l Book a flight to any of 13 cities in Europe on British Airways and receive a f ree three-day car rental and reduced hotel rates. Prices vary by date and routing. For example, a three-night trip from Washington Dulles to London in early March is about $756 per person double and includes round-trip nonstop airfare; manual car rental from Avis; accommodations at the Hilton Croydon, about a half-hour outside the city (other hotels also available); and taxes.
