Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook fan page hacked

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook fan page was seemingly hacked yesterday by someone who posted the message that Facebook should become a "social business," complete with a link to the Wikipedia page explaining the term.

A social business, according to the Wikipedia page, is a business with "positive social objectives" where investors cannot take "profits out of the enterprise as dividends." The bizarre message appeared on Zuckerberg's fan page, which is followed by 2.8 million Facebook users.

"Let the hacking begin: If facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn't Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a 'social business' the way Nobel Price winner Muhammad Yunus described it? #hackercup2011"

The "hackercup" hashtag likely refers to Facebook's own Hacker Cup, a programming competition, although the reference makes little sense in this context.

The message was taken down quickly--although not, as MSNBC pointed out, before 1,803 people "liked" the message and 438 people commented on it. Facebook itself has made no comment on the message.
