FAIR OAKS DISTRICT
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Centreville Rd., 2700 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Fair Lakes Shopping Center, 12900 block. An iPod was stolen from a business.

Hayes Ct., 12400 block. Gauges were stolen from a vehicle.

Helmont Dr., 11600 block. An iPod was stolen from a school.

Lees Corner Rd. and Bellerose Dr. Copper wire was stolen from a construction site.

Ridge Top Rd., 4200 block. An electronic reading device was stolen from a residence.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Valley Ridge Dr., 3900 block. A 2000 Chevrolet Corvette was stolen.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT
ASSAULTS

Metropolitan Center Dr., 6700 block, 7 p.m. Jan. 21. A 47-year-old man died two days after an altercation with another man. The man had apparently been stabbed in the upper body. He was taken to a hospital. The case was under investigation.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Braddock and Backlick roads. A purse was stolen from a school.

Franconia Rd., 6100 block. Keys were stolen from a vehicle.

Franconia Rd., 6100 block. Steel was stolen from a business.

Kingstowne Blvd., 5800 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

Kingstowne Blvd., 5800 block. A purse was stolen from a business.

Little River Tpk., 6600 block. Books were stolen from a vehicle.

Loisdale Rd., 6700 block. A tire and rims were stolen from a vehicle.

Skyles Way, 7000 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Springfield Plaza, 6400 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

MASON DISTRICT
ASSAULTS

Columbia Pike, 7100 block, 10:36 p.m. Jan. 21. A police officer saw a man and a woman arguing and pushing each other on a sidewalk. They were uncooperative with the officer, and the woman slapped the man while the officer was attempting to investigate. A 24-year-old Annandale woman was charged with assault and public drunkenness. A 39-year-old Chantilly man was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

ROBBERIES

Seminary Rd., 5600 block, 1:43 p.m. Jan. 23. Two men, one with a gun, robbed a 32-year-old man of his wallet and cellphone.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Caryn Ct., 5000 block. Cash was stolen from a vehicle.

Columbia Pike, 6900 block. Jewelry was stolen from a business.

Gordon St., 3500 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Holly Hill Dr., 3200 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Knollwood Dr., 6100 block. A package was stolen from a residence.

Leesburg Pike, 5100 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.

Leesburg Pike, 6200 block. A cellphone was stolen from a business.

Little River Tpk., 7400 block. A prepaid phone was stolen from a business.

Seminary Rd., 5600 block. A wallet and a Global Positioning System device were stolen from a vehicle.

Seven Corners Center, 6300 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.

Summers Lane, 5900 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Wilson Blvd., 6100 block. A 2000 Toyota RAV4 was stolen.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Balls Hill Rd., 1400 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Crianza Pl., 8000 block. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle.

Iliff Dr., 8000 block. A TV and a video game system were stolen from a business.

International Dr., 2000 block. A wallet was stolen from a business.

Kings Chapel Rd., 2900 block. A muffler was stolen from a vehicle.

Leesburg Pike, 8000 block. Two ski caps were stolen from a business.

Mohegan Dr., 2200 block, 7 p.m. Jan. 19 to 1:30 a.m. Jan. 20. Jewelry and cash were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked door.

Nutley St., 3000 block, 5 p.m. Jan. 21 to 6 a.m. Jan. 22. Electronic items and clothing were stolen from a construction trailer entered by breaking a window.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Hollywood Rd., 2700 block. A Toyota Sienna was stolen.

Hollywood Rd., 2800 block. A 1997 Toyota Tercel was stolen.

MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT
ROBBERIES

Richmond Hwy., 6700 block, noon Jan. 25. An employee confronted a man stealing merchandise in a store, and the man threatened him with a knife and left.

Richmond Hwy., 8200 block, 9:30 p.m. Jan. 24. A man robbed and bit a 36-year-old female acquaintance. A 23-year-old Alexandria area man was charged with robbery and malicious wounding. The woman was treated at the scene.

Russell Rd., 8200 block, 5:10 p.m. Jan. 25. Two masked men, one with a gun, robbed a 46-year-old man of a cellphone and a wallet.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Arlington Dr., 2700 block. A purse was stolen from a vehicle.

Belle View Blvd., 1600 block. A TV was stolen from a business.

Franklin St., 3100 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.

Janna Lee Ave., 7900 block. A Pomeranian dog was stolen from a residence.

North Kings Hwy., 5800 block. License plates were stolen from a vehicle.

Old Richmond Hwy.,1800 block. Temporary license plates were stolen from a vehicle.

Parker Lane, 2500 block. A camera was stolen from a residence.

Old Mount Vernon Rd., 8500 block. A 1996 Chevrolet was stolen.

RESTON DISTRICT
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Hollow Timber Ct., 11400 block. A Global Positioning System device was stolen from a vehicle.

SULLY DISTRICT
ASSAULTS

Ordway Rd., 7300 block, 7 p.m. Jan. 26. A motorist drove into a parking lot and got stuck in snow and ice. A man who was clearing the lot with a snowblower shouted at him, then retrieved a gun and pointed it at him. Police arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with brandishing a firearm.

ROBBERIES

Poplar Tree Rd. and Sequoia Farms Dr., 1 a.m. Jan. 26. Three men robbed a 23-year-old man of a jacket and an iPod.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bent Tree Cir., 13600 block. A jacket, a phone and keys were stolen from a business.

Cranoke St. and Soucy Pl. A cellphone was stolen from a school.

Post Corners Trail, 5800 block. An iPod was stolen from a school.

Westbourne Pl., 6000 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT
THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Backlick Rd., 7800 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Coleridge Dr., 5000 block. Tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Corporate Ct., 8000 block. Cash was stolen from a business.

Middle Run Dr., 8400 block. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Nathan Hale Dr., 4700 block. A phone was stolen from a business.

Ox Rd., 8900 block. Two bottles of liquor were stolen from a business.

Port Royal Rd., 5400 block. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle.

Rolling Rd., 7900 block. Beer was stolen from a business.

Rolling Rd., 8000 block. A purse was stolen from a business.

Commons Dr., 4700 block. A 2003 Chevrolet was stolen.

Fairfax City

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Addison Rd., 4100 block, 4:40 p.m. Jan. 14. A woman was billed for satellite TV service for an account opened by a stranger using her identification.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 4:01 Jan. 20. A store security officer observed a male taking two BB pistols from the store. An investigation revealed that the boy had used a knife to cut the security tags from the pistols. A boy, 16, was charged with possession of a burglary tool and petty larceny. He was released to a parent.

Jermantown Rd., 4000 block, 5:32 p.m. Jan. 21. A female in a store took merchandise into a restroom, concealed it and attempted to leave the store. An investigation revealed that she had also taken items from the store the previous day. A 29-year-old Fairfax woman was charged with petty larceny.

Main St., 9600 block, 1:25 p.m. Jan. 21. A purse containing cash, credit cards and a cellphone was stolen from a shopping cart in a grocery store.

Main St., 9900 block, 8:08 p.m. Jan. 13. Cash was stolen from a wallet left in a jacket in break room of a thrift shop.

Old Lee Hwy., 3200 block, August to December. The manager of a business said an employee had fraudulently used a store debit card for personal purchases. A 26-year-old Fairfax City woman was charged with embezzlement.

VANDALISM

Fairfax Blvd., 9900 block, 8:15 p.m. Jan. 22 to 2:15 a.m. Jan. 23. A door, the hood and the roof of a vehicle were damaged at a parking lot of a restaurant.

Hallman St., 4000 block, 11 p.m. Jan. 20 to 6:07 a.m. Jan. 21. A hole was made in the front grille of a vehicle.

Falls Church

ASSAULTS

Lincoln Ave., 400 block, 6:24 p.m. Jan. 19. A female juvenile assaulted a family member. A 17-year-old girl was charged with domestic assault.

Wilson Blvd., 6700 block, 12:45 a.m. Jan. 23. A female was assaulted at a club.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Broad St. W., 1200 block, 2:35 p.m. Jan. 23. A credit card was stolen. It was used at a grocery store.

VANDALISM

Broad St. W., 400 block, Jan. 14. The floor of a building was vandalized.

Broad St. W., 900 block, 4:48 a.m. Jan. 21. Graffiti were written on a tow sign.

Jefferson St. W., 100 block, 8:07 a.m. Jan. 22. A window of a vehicle was smashed.

Offutt Dr., 1200 block, 4:22 p.m. Jan. 23. Four tires of a vehicle were slashed.

West St. N., 200 block, Jan. 18. Locks on a shed were broken and taken from the shed.

Dulles Park Ct., 600 block, 11:16 p.m. Jan. 22. A juvenile attacked a person with a knife. A juvenile was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Ferndale Ave. and Vine St., 9:37 p.m. Jan. 23. A person was assaulted during a traffic incident.

Palmer Dr., 700 block, A person assaulted an acquaintance.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Alabama Dr., 600 block, 7 p.m. Jan. 17 to 6 p.m. Jan. 19. Tools were stolen from a residence.

Dulles Ct., 800 block, 4:45 p.m. Jan. 21. Firearms were stolen from a residence.

Elden St., 400 block, 2:01 p.m. Jan. 23. A person attempted to shoplift cosmetics from a business.

Elden St., 400 block, 5:09 p.m. Jan. 18. A person shoplifted items from a business.

Elden St., 400 block, 6:14 p.m. Jan. 19. A 38-year-old Herndon man was arrested in connection with shoplifting.

Grant St., 700 block, 9:49 p.m. Jan. 21. Property was stolen from a business.

Herndon Pkwy., 900 block, 5:45 p.m. Jan. 14. A credit card was stolen and used to make purchases.

Highcourt Lane, 2100 block, 9:55 a.m. Jan. 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 15. A license plate was stolen from a vehicle.

Spring Knoll Dr., 800 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 20 to 3:30 a.m. Jan. 21. A Global Positioning System device and a jacket were stolen from a vehicle.

Summerset Pl., 1500 block, 10 p.m. Jan. 20 to 5 a.m. Jan. 21. An iPod was stolen from a vehicle.

Westcourt Lane, 2200 block, 4:48 p.m. Jan. 20. A ring was stolen from a locker.

VANDALISM

Center St., 600 block, 12:22 a.m. Jan. 22. A window of a residence was broken.

Grant St., 1000 block, 12:34 p.m. Jan. 20. A fence was damaged.

Herndon Pkwy., 400 block, 5:48 a.m. Jan. 19. A water line at a hotel was broken, causing flooding.

Sterling Rd., 1000 block, 2:12 p.m. Jan. 2. A garden bridge was overturned, and several boards were damaged.

Woodshire Lane, 500 block, 6:47 p.m. Jan. 19. Graffiti were found in the area.

Vienna

The following incidents were recently reported by the Vienna Police Department. For more information, call 703-255-6396.

ASSAULTS

Park St. SE, 100 block, 1:50 p.m. Jan. 26. A woman opened a car door and assaulted a female acquaintance as she was attempting to leave a parking area. The woman pulled the acquaintance from the vehicle and continued assaulting her until a witness separated them. The case was under investigation.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Cedar Lane SE, 200 block, 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 to 9 a.m. Jan. 25. Construction tools were stolen from a van entered by drilling locks on two doors of the van.

Center St., 400 block, Dec. 24 to Jan. 23. A wedding band was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Maple Ave. W., 100 block, 4 p.m. Jan. 24. A woman attempted to pass a forged prescription at a pharmacy. A 25-year-old Manassas woman was charged with prescription fraud.

Patrick St. SE, 100 block, 4:15 a.m. Jan. 25. Three men get out of a brown Ford Bronco and stole a generator from a pickup truck. The men fled before police arrived.
