Arlington County-based Rosetta Stone, a language-learning company, announced Thursday that former D.C. mayor Adrian M. Fenty will join the organization as an outside adviser.

Since leaving office in January, Fenty has gained representation from a Manhattan-based speakers' bureau, has taken another job as an outside adviser for a Philadelphia-based accounting and consulting firm, and has landed a visiting professorship at his alma mater, Oberlin College.

"We are confident that Adrian Fenty will help Rosetta Stone drive innovation in the classroom by empowering schools to discover new ways to use technology," Tom Adams, chief executive of Rosetta Stone, said in a statement.
