Need to get away from your digital distractions? Here are a few options:

Go somewhere with no Wi-Fi or cellphone service. Many resorts or hotels simply don't have the technology that makes it possible to stay plugged in.

Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montebello

1000 Chemin Kenauk, Montebello, Quebec

At this rustic resort 30 minutes from Montreal, guests chalets have no electricity. There are two-way radios in the cabins for emergency calls. Rates from $170.

Cotton Tree Lodge

Moho River, Punta Gorda, Toledo District, Belize

Stay in any of 11 cabanas with no phones, TVs, radios or Internet. The resort operates on a combination of solar, battery and generator power. Rooms start at $109. All-inclusive stays start at $180 per person a night.

Check into a hotel that will lock your gadgets in a safe.

Any high-end hotel will probably lock up your devices for you if you ask. Some even encourage it.
