In Va., honoring Freedom Rides

The Rev. Reginald Green,a former Freedom Rider, speaks during the launch of a semester-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Freedom Rides in Fredericksburg at the University of Mary Washington. Green and former Freedom Rider Joan Trumpauer Mulholland appeared Monday to honor the Freedom Rides and their organizer, the late James Farmer. Farmer was head of the Congress of Racial Equality during the Civil Rights era and later became a professor at the Fredericksburg school.
