Couture conflict in Paris

John Galliano is in trouble with his employer, Christian Dior, following an alcohol-fueled dust-up at a Paris bar, Reuters reports. On Thursday night, police found the designer, 50, hurling a torrent of abuse at a couple. The couple is alleging that some of the comments were racist and anti-Semitic in nature. Galliano was taken into custody, subjected to a sobriety test and subsequently escorted home. Now he is, at least temporarily, out of a job. "Pending the results of the inquiry, Christian Dior has suspended John Galliano from his responsibilities," the fashion house wrote in a statement. While Galliano acknowledged that an altercation took place, he "firmly and formally" denied using racist and anti-Semitic language.

Bieber's hair auction

Last Sunday teen pop idol Justin Bieber took a pair of shears to his now-iconic hairdo. And he's delivered a discarded lock to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who is auctioning the clipping on eBay. As of Friday afternoon, bidding on this single fleck of Bieber's hair helmet had climbed to $7,000. It's for a good cause, at least. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Gentle Barn, an animal rights organization.

Spotted . . .

l Jamie Foxx and Stevie Wonder jamming out at the W on Thursday night. Starting at 3 a.m., the pair set up shop on a red patent-leather couch in the hotel's living room, where they spent an hour chatting, chuckling and tossing around a few tunes. Wonder played harmonica; Foxx did the crooning. Up on the W rooftop, more stars: R&B crooner Seal as well as "Glee" cast members Mark Salling, Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz. Everybody was in town for Thursday afternoon's Motown tribute at the White House.

l Kathy Griffin at Verizon Center on Thursday night for the Lady Gaga concert. No entourage. The actress-comedian was just seated with the regular folks, wearing a black leather jacket and rimless glasses. She's in town for the weekend doing two performances at the Kennedy Center.
