Shootings of 2 airmen were more important than an NFL labor dispute

My husband and I are National Football League fans, and we enjoy the diversion sports provide from our daily lives. So the collective bargaining between NFL owners and players is of interest to us, but in no way did it supersede the shooting deaths of two U.S. airmen at Frankfurt International Airport in Germany on March 2.

The shooting story, concerning what may turn out to have been an act of terrorism, was played down on Page A6 in the March 3 paper. The NFL story was given far too much prominence on the front page.
