Ana Antolin, research librarian

Ana Antolin, 56, a research librarian at the Daughters of the American Revolution Library in Washington for more than 20 years, died Feb. 22 at her home in Alexandria of complications from diabetes.

Ms. Antolin settled in the Washington area in 1983, when she joined the DAR Library. She retired in 2009.

She was born in Madrid, and she moved with her family to Gettysburg, Pa., in 1962. She was a 1977 history graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. She received a master's degree in library science in 1983 from McGill University in Montreal.

She volunteered at Sherwood Regional Library in Alexandria and taught English to speakers of other languages in Fairfax County.

Survivors include her mother, Ivanka V. Antolin of Alexandria; five sisters; and five brothers.
