Getting there

Multiple airlines offer one-stop flights from Washington Dulles to Kiev, Ukraine, with fares starting at just under $900 round trip. Kamyanets-Podilskiy is about 300 miles southwest. Overnight train is $30-$45 one way, or you can hire a car and driver. Alenka VIP, in Kiev (011-380-97-103-4477), can secure train tickets or arrange a car ($450 round-trip for up to three people) to and from the town. Ask for Inna Kravets, who speaks excellent English. Gala Tour (011-380-38-493-0805,, affiliated with the Gala Hotel in Kamyanets-Podilskiy, can also arrange a car for up to three people for $450 round-trip, or train tickets for about $30 round-trip.
