Lois F. Loveless, bookkeeper, secretary
Lois F. Loveless, a bookkeeper and secretary for her husband's Arlington County bail-bond business, died Feb. 12 of brain cancer at Capital Hospice in Arlington. She was 78.
Mrs. Loveless worked at Ed Loveless Bail Bonding from the 1950s through the 1970s. Previously, she had worked for the insurance company now known as Geico and for two Washington area law firms.
Lois Flournoy was born in Washington and raised in Arlington, where she graduated from Washington-Lee High School in 1949.
She was a member of Christ Crossman United Methodist Church in Falls Church and the Washington Golf and Country Club in Arlington.
Mrs. Loveless volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Her husband of 49 years, Edward S. Loveless, died in 1994. Survivors include four children, Donna Tayman of Callao, Va., Steve Loveless of Wimberley, Tex., John Loveless of Fairfax County and Patricia Bennett of Lake Ridge, Va.; a sister, Lillie May Wolfe of Mechanicsville, Md.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
