Jocelyn Bridge, a past member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Washington, died Feb. 27 at a nursing home in Pinehurst, N.C. She was 88 and had Alzheimer's disease.

Jocelyn Jones was born on her family's farm near Bentonville, Ark. She graduated in 1942 from Kilgore College in Texas. She was an actress and dancer who entertained troops at USO camp shows in the South Pacific during World War II.

She and her husband, a journalist for Dow Jones newspapers, moved to the Washington area around 1960. Mrs. Bridge moved to North Carolina from the District about a decade ago.

Her husband of 55 years, John F. Bridge, died in 2002. Survivors include three children, Susanna Bridge Turner of Pinehurst, Nancy Bridge Shaw of Boulder, Colo., and Donald U. Bridge of Carthage, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
