PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The Orioles' Brian Roberts played for the first time in two weeks Sunday, going hitless in two at-bats during a 9-8 victory over Tampa Bay.

Nick Green's two-run single with two outs in the ninth gave Baltimore the win after the Orioles' bullpen blew a 7-2 lead.

Roberts had been sidelined since March 7 with back spasms. He handled second base without problems, including a double play in the fourth inning.

Baltimore jumped on Rays starter Jeff Niemann for four runs on eight hits and a walk in six innings, then battered reliever Adam Russell for three more runs in the seventh.

Rays leadoff man Ben Zobrist had two hits, including a triple, and stole a base. Justin Ruggiano's three-run home run in the seventh gave the Rays an 8-7 lead.

Baltimore starter Brad Bergeson went five innings, giving up two runs on eight hits and a walk.
