Oil settles slightly lower

NEW YORK -- Oil settled a little lowerThursday after government reports gave a mixed read on the U.S. economic recovery.

Here's a breakdown of how energy contracts traded:

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Crude: lost 15 cents to settle at $105.60 per barrel;

Gasoline: gained 2.22 cents to settle at $3.0508 per gallon;

Heating oil: added nearly a penny to settle at $3.0787 per gallon;

Natural gas: lost 9.1 cents to settle at $4.244 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures exchange:

Brent crude: added 13 cents to settle at $115.60 per barrel.
