Congressional candidate Donna F. Edwards may have endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D.-Ill.), but not all voters Maryland's 4th congressional district will get that message. My colleague Nelson Hernandez, visiting polling places, picked up a so-called "sample ballot" being handed out by Edwards' poll workers at the East Silver Spring Elementary School in Montgomery County. On that ballot, Edwards' name was checked, circled and highlighted, but no recommendation was offered in the Democratic presidential primary. At the top is the message: Vote for Change. Vote Donna Edwards. Meanwhile, Hernandez picked up an Edwards' sample ballot at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro. On this ballot, Obama's name received Edwards-like treatment--checked, circled and highlighted. And at the top? Vote for Change. Vote Obama-Edwards. Edwards' spokesman Dan Weber confirmed the campaign printed two versions of the ballot, one before Edwards endorsed Obama last week and a new version afterward. He said both ballots were
