The Changing Face of Dupont Circle

Over the past 15 years, Dupont Circle's assortment of independently owned stores has been joined by polished national retailers. Rents have doubled and even tripled in some locations, driving out many of the smaller stores and, some argue, changing the character of the neighborhood.
