Underwood founded INFORM in 1974 with a goal of analyzing the
environmental impact of business practices, technologies and products and of identifying practical options for change. The organization has published more than 100 reports that are used as resources by public and private sector decision-makers worldwide. Underwood serves on the Board of the Clean Vehicle Education Fund. She has taught
at New York and Adelphi Universities and has written and lectured widely on sustainable transportation and environmental issues and solutions.
