Thursday, August 13, 2020; 11:00 AM

With all the stories and advice soon-to-be freshmen hear about college, it's tough to separate the myths from reality. Dr. Mickey Hess, an English professor at Rider University, will be online Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET to sort out the truth and tell you what to really expect from college.

Hess specializes in creative writing, particularly creative nonfiction, as well as composition studies and popular culture. He has written a new memoir, "Big Wheel at the Cracker Factory," in which he chronicles his hilarious struggle to stay financially afloat while fulfilling his dream of being a professor.
